START HERE!

Firstly, welcome to our first ever blog post.

Why have we started a blog?

We have evolved so much since we began as Flower and Herb five years ago during the pandemic that we firstly want to use our blog to share stories. The journey started with just me in my back garden; however, since then, I have some incredible people involved who I also want to have a voice.

Secondly, we have also grown into a multi-faceted project which we would like to share - whilst our core primary focus remains to grow food for the communities we serve, we have recently opened our spaces for corporate groups and commissioned services and launched a shop selling plants, produce, and products, including Social Source.

Lastly, we want to give you an insight into what's coming up! Spring/Summer are our busiest seasons and this year, we are so proud to announce we will have an installation at the Cheltenham Science Festival on the 3rd – 8th June 2025.

Food for Thought is a look at food production in Gloucestershire across the ages. This installation, brought to you by Project Grow, Gloucestershire Archives’ Green Pledge Project, and Planet Cheltenham, will inspire you to be the change today by growing your food. We believe growing your own produce is a positive force for good against a food system that is harming people and our fragile planet.
