Large round winter radish with thick black skin and white flesh. An old variety that is easy to grow and makes an excellent winter vegetable. Spicy tast and crisp texture its great eaten raw in salads or cooked in a stew or stirfry. Its a reliable and robust radish that will keep throughout the winter outside or in storage staying tender without getting woody. Rich in Vitamin C and Potassium.

Vegetable plugs will be sent as small plug plants, usually bare rooted in cardboard packaging and will be be anywhere between 10cm and 20cm tall.

You can grow them on in pots in a greenhouse or sunny windowsill for a couple of weeks if the weather is not warm enough to plant them out direct.
